Join over 2200 runners and walkers for the 28th Annual Great Turtle Half Marathon and 5.7 Mile on October 26, 2024 at 10:30 am!   Enjoy the beauty of Mackinac Island's Fall season running and walking the interior trails and shoreline during the last open weekend of the season.  This scenic trail race attracts runners and walkers from around the country and is know for its great swag!

All who register will receive the unique commemorative Turtle medal, a great race commemorative garment (TBA), and post race goodies.  After the race, enjoy Halloween fun in Mission Point and Downtown Mackinac Island for adults and children, great end-of-season sales in the downtown shops, or just spend time enjoy the peace and serenity of the Island's interior.

The Half Marathon begins & ends on the picturesque shoreline of Mackinac Island, but the major portion of the course runs the challenging interior trails of the Island. Walkers who can complete the course in 17:00 pace (3:42) are welcome, however there is no Award schedule for walkers. Note: An $8.00 Mackinac Island State Park Assessment is included in your registration fee.

Enjoy the interior and shoreline of beautiful Mackinac Island for fun or competition - walkers of all fitness levels are welcome. Age group awards are presented in this event, therefore you MUST walk the entire race to be eligible. If you intend to run/jog any portion of the course, please enter the 5.7 MIle Run.
